In 1949, Mr. Li Sheng retreated to Taiwan with the Nationalist government and was assigned as Principal of Taitung Girls' Senior High School, Hualien Nornal University, Tainan First Senior High School, Tainan Second Senior High School, and several other crucial positions. After Li took over the principal position of Tainan First Senior High School, he loosened the ban on hairstyle and improved students' health by establishiing a student restaurant. His contributions to education were appreciated and respected by the citizens, and Li was selected as one of the Historical Figures of Tainan City in 2018. Li Sheng is the father of famous directors—Ang Lee and Khan Lee. The residence is currently resided by their family members, so visitors are advised to lower their voice during their visit.
