Longchuan Well Temple is located at No.114, Dongmen Rd. Sec.1. Some argue that the temple was built in or before Qianlong reign, Qing Dynasty, while others belive that it was established in the 22nd year of Jiaching reign (1817) by governor Lin Youhua. The temple had worshipped Earth God before Qingshui Zushi was invited into the temple from Anxi, China, and the temple was named "Zushigong Temple" since then. The current name "Longchuan Well Temple" derived from the Longchuan Well next to the temple, and the street in front of the temple was dubbed "Longchuan Well Street." In 1930, the shrine was torn down due to the urban reformation plan proposed by the Japanese government. Afterwards, Gentry Huang Shin, Huang Shi-chuan, Zhou Da-zhao, Lin Shu, and Chen Zhen-fu funded and implemented the reconstruction of the shrine. In 2017, Lin Shu's offspring Lin Fu-cheng led a crowdfunding effort to refurbish the temple, and the refurbishment of the shrine was completed in 2019.
