The Old Tainan Governor Residence is located at No.2, Lane 197, Yule Street. The municipal historical site was built between 1898 and 1906. Throughout the Japanese colonial period and early postwar period, the structure had served as residence for high-ranking officials and later became the dormitory for the staff at National Tainan First Senior High School. After major renovation in 2017, the northern structure featuring classical Western style was open for public viewing on Fridays and weekends.
